3x3: Stereolab, Rodrigo y Gabriela + Keane


3x3 is back with a killer trio of live performances to excite your eardrums. First up, the newly revived Stereolab combine surrealist ideas and indie flavor for a plate of delicious rock. Meanwhile, Rodrigo y Gabriela offer up three tracks from their recently released 'Live in Japan' DVD, and Brit darlings Keane showcase their swirling piano rock both in a massive music hall and intimate studio. What's that? Oh, you're welcome.

3x3 CMJ Edition: Annuals, Kevin Devine + Photo Atlas


Every year, hundreds of bands, industry folk and fans travel to New York City for the CMJ music festival -- a week-long sonic frenzy of shows and panels, held in various Big Apple venues. This year, three 3x3 alums will participate in the chaos, which begins October 21, and wraps on October 25. To celebrate, we've compiled live shows from the trio. First up, the Annuals seriously rock their electro-pop, while Kevin Devine gets political. Lastly, the Photo Atlas school crowds on how to dance like a punkster.

The UK Invades 3x3: Goldfrapp, the Chap + Switches


The current exchange rate is the pits, man. To that end, three UK acts were kind enough to supply us with a trio of tracks to satisfy burning ears. It sure beats losing cash on Across the Pond travel. We've got Goldfrapp in all of Alison's mesmeric glory, the Chap and their quirky style at State 51 in London, and Switches rock the House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif.

As Bonnaroo approaches we thought it would be appropriate to give you a little taste of what to expect from the Manchester, Tennessee extravaganza. First up, surfer/singer-songwriter Jack Johnson supplied three live videos from his performance at the Hearst Greek Theater in L.A., while the Drive-By Truckers and their three-axe attack brought the house down in Washington D.C. Finally, the Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, the stars of the indie flick 'Once,' perform three tracks from the soundtrack to the award-winning film.

Andrew Bird, who proves himself worthy of endless buzz in front of an adoring Austin City Limits audience. We then head over seas to catch the Plasticines, who were discovered by Kraftwerk's producer. The Paris-based grrrl group tears it up in their hometown and even drop a cover of Nancy Sinatra's 'These Boots are Made for Walking.' We round things off with Southern Cowpunk quintet the Drive-By Truckers, who deliver a stellar performance of songs from their highly-addictive album, 'Brighter Than Creation's Dark.'
